SCROLLED WINDOW
HELP MENU
This lets you scan thru tables of a database very easily. It only
shows a few of the fields of the database, due to screen size, but
the information displayed was selected to help you identify the
record you need.
You can position the lightbar by either using the arrow keys
or by using the locator entry field. This quickly jumps to the
first record that meets its criteria. For example, if you are in
a LAST NAME window, iy you hit the "H" key, it will position the
lightbar at the first "H" database entry. If you then hit a "HE"
it will position the lightbar at the first "HE" entry. If there is
no such record, it will position the lightbar at the NEXT ascending
entry. To start at the first character of the entry field, depress
the TAB key.
Unless otherwise restricted, to add a new entry, depress the INS
key, with the lightbar anywhere. To modify or update an existing
entry, position the lightbar, and depress ENTER. To delete an
entry, position the lightbar, and depress DELETE. A confirmation
window appears.
